The following rules and regulations may be amended based upon input received from participating teams, provided that they are voted upon and approved by a majority. They may also be amended at the discretion of ISN Virtual Worlds in order to better suit the needs of participating teams and players. Team owners are requested to submit any proposals for modification of rules and regulations to ISN Virtual Worlds via the email address info@isnvirtualworlds.com
SOFTWARE:
ISN Virtual Worlds will supply required gameplay software, which includes ball, HUD, and rezzer, to all participating teams that request it. The software may be used by all avatars free of charge, once installed.
REGISTRATIONS:
1. The SerieSL will be held on the SecondLife simulator “ISN Stadium” and will begin on November 24th, 2008. The tournament will end on July 16st, 2009.
2. Team registration opens on Agoust 1st, 2008, and will close on November 16th, 2008.
3. The tournament calendar will be determined upon completion of the registration phase.
4. Any team can sign up for the SerieSL, but only the first 14 teams to register will be admitted.
5. Each team must have a team owner and a minimum of 15 enlisted players, who must be group members of the team’s group (if applicable) and communicated via email to info@isnvirtualworlds.com President must give to all players a contract with our "Template of contract" notecard. Players that not have contract they can't play official matches. Contract must have 2 copies: 1 copy created by President (creator of notecard) and 1 copy created by player (creator of notecard). The two copies must be stored here: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Telecom%20Italia%202/200/125/25. Player must have contract 3 days before match to play, otherwise he can't play and he will play next match. From now on, if a team releases a player without executing an official trade with another team, that player must wait 14 days before signing a new contract. During that time, ALL teams will be allowed to negotiate with the player. After 14 days have passed, the player may sign a contract with any team he wishes, providing they have reached an agreement.
6. Team owners must present a list of players by the beginning of the tournament. Teams are allowed to add players and staff at any time, provided they are not members of another team participating the SerieSL. Player trades between teams are permitted only during trade periods, which occure halfway through the season and at the end of each season. Players and members of staff are NOT allowed to play for more than one team.
7. Team owners act as point of contact between ISN and the team, and are considered responsible and accountable for the team and its members.
8. As of march 2009, all teams must have a player roster of minimum 15 and maximum 30 players
9. Players are not allowed to participate in both the SerieSL and the LFPSL, either with the same avatar or with multiple avatars (which is strictly forbidden). Players participating in both leagues with different avatars will immediately be banned from both competitions.
10. Players that use alter will be kick off v-Soccer. For teams directly involved using alter (more than 1 account in SL) staff can decide the punishment
REGULATIONS:
1. All participants of the SerieSL (players, managers, staff, and anyone else involved in the tournament) are required to behave civilly and respectfully both on and off the field. In particular, insults and offensive comments towards other players, referees, and ISN staff will not be tolerated. ISN reserves the right to determine and apply disciplinary measures as ISN sees fit.
2. Matches will be played between teams of 7 players, including the goal keeper. Each team may keep a maximum of 4 players physically sitting on the bench, as well as the team’s manager. However, teams may substitute players from the stands as well as the benches, and there is no limit to the amount of players teams can keep in the stands.
a. 4 substitutions will be permitted, 3 for players and 1 for goalkeeper. b. There is no limit for goalkeeper substitutions. c. in case of a crash the team will play with one less player until the avatar logs in again or until the manager decides to substitute him. d. Players that have been substituted may only return to the game as goalkeepers.
3. Penalties for teams that do not present a minimum of 7 players:
a. If a team does not present at least 5 players on field 20 minutes prior to kick-off, the match will be lost 5-0 and the team will also loose 1 point in classifies. b. If a team presents 5 or 6 players active and on the field 20 minutes prior to kick-off, the team will be allowed to play the match anyway. c. If a team repeatedly presents fewer than 7 players to their matches, they risk being permanently banned from all competitions.
4. If a team fields a player who is not part of the official team list, which must be communicated to ISN Virtual Worlds before the start of the match, that team will lose the match by forfeit by a score of 5-0, and it losts 1 point.
5. All matches will be held exclusively in the ISN Stadium, which is available at all times for practice and training.
6. If a match is delayed by more than 20 minutes, each team has the right to request that the match be postponed to a later date, with or without the consent of the other team.
7. Gameplay:
a. Each team will face all other teams twice. Every win will earn the team 3 points, every draw will earn 1 point, and a loss will earn no points. Matches will be played from monday to thursday , 2 matches a day , at 9.15 and 10.30 PM .
b. Team rankings will be determined by:
i. Total points ii. Results of matches between equally ranked teams iii. Goals difference iv. Goals scored
Matches will consist of two 15 minute halves and a half-time break of 10 minutes.
8. Prize money
a. The top 3 teams in the SerieSL at the end of the season will receive 1st Place: L$50,000 2nd Place: L$25,000 3rd Place: L$10,000 b. All prize payments will be made to the team Owner
REFEREEING:
1. Each match will be monitored closely by ISN personnel to ensure matches are played according to tournament specifications
2. Referees will provide security during matchesa. Ability to Eject / Freeze / Banb. Can limit the number of avatars present on the simc. Can restrict access to the group ISN STADIUM
3. Referees will ensure that no HUDs or scripts are used to enhance performance
4. They will signal the beginning and end of the match.
5. They will signal goals scored, throw-ins, corner kicks and goal kicks
6. Referees will ensure gameplay is resumed correctly following sim crash and lag
7. Referees will indicate fouls and book players
a. tackle by 3 or more defenders simultaneously b. Outfield player using keeper moves or keeper using keeper moves outside the box (yellow card) c. Using spacebar to run (warning, yellow card) d. Blocking the ball by selecting it with cursor (red card) e. Using public chat (with the exception of the team captain: ONE warning only, yellow card for a second offense, red card for a third offense) f. Pushing other players during set pieces (warning, yellow card) g. Two touches by the same player on a set pieceh. h. Goal scored from inside the SMALL goal box (the small box directly around the goal, NOT the larger penalty area) i. Detach the HUD and attach 1 new (direct expulsion) j. A player that has 2 Yellow Cards can’t misses next match. For a red card ISN staff should decide the punishment k. A maximum of 2 defenders can attack the player with the ball simultaneously to try to take the ball away. A foul will be called if more than 2 defenders make contact with the attacking player. l. Referees have the right to disallow goals caused by lag, for example when the goal keeper blocks a ball before it crosses the goal line, but due to lag the sensors indicate a goal. m. Referees may suspend matches at their discretion due to interferences with normal gameplay n. In case of fouls called automatically by the system, players may choose whether to take a direct or indirect free kick. The free kick will be indirect in the case of gameplay issues (frozen or disappearing ball, ball intercepted by referee, etc.)
